PRINCIPAL, SAHARA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CAIRO

MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

It is with great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into my role as Principal of Sahara International School.

Sahara has always been more than a school — it is a community built on care, trust, and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality international education. Being part of this journey is truly meaningful to me, as I continue a vision that has inspired generations of students to grow, succeed, and dream beyond limits.

At Sahara International School, we believe that education goes beyond academic achievement. Our mission is to nurture confident, well-rounded individuals by providing a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential, develop their character, and prepare for a successful future.

Our dedicated teachers and staff play a vital role in shaping our students’ experiences every day. Through their passion, commitment, and guidance, we aim to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.

I am also deeply grateful to our parents for their trust and partnership, as together we work to build a strong foundation for our students’ future.

To our students, you are at the heart of everything we do. Your curiosity, determination, and individuality are what make Sahara a truly special place.

I look forward to continuing this journey together, building on our strong foundation, and leading Sahara International School towards even greater success.

BRITISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

The British educational system at Sahara International School Cairo follows the UK National Curriculum and provides a complete academic pathway from Early Years (FS1) to secondary education. It is a system that strongly encourages critical thinking, analysis, and independent learning skills.

Our school follows the Cambridge International Curriculum, giving students access to a wide range of academic resources through Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). We carefully select all curriculum materials and textbooks based on Cambridge standards to ensure high-quality international education.

The British curriculum is widely recognized worldwide, and students graduating from this system are known for their strong academic foundation and readiness for higher education both in Egypt and internationally.

The Early Years Foundation Stage at Sahara International School Cairo follows the UK National Curriculum Framework, which emphasizes that every child deserves the best possible start in life. It provides the support needed for children to develop their abilities and reach their full potential.
Children develop rapidly during the early years, and their experiences from birth to the age of five play a crucial role in shaping their future learning and development. A safe, secure, and nurturing environment is essential, alongside high-quality early education, to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
At Sahara International School, we implement the four key principles that guide early years education:
Every child is unique, constantly learning, and capable of being resilient, confident, and self-assured.
Children develop strength and independence through positive relationships.

Development Matters EYFS

At Sahara International School Cairo, our primary curriculum is based on the Cambridge framework, rooted in the British National Curriculum. This provides students with a structured and internationally recognized approach to learning during the primary years.
The Cambridge Primary programme (Stages 1–6) focuses on core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science. In addition, Sahara International School offers French as a fourth subject, contributing to students’ overall academic development and final assessment. Through this curriculum, students build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and scientific understanding.
Our teachers, trained by Cambridge and supported by approved educational publishers, apply a variety of teaching strategies to deliver the curriculum effectively. These include group work, teacher-led instruction, individual tasks, practical activities, field trips, and the integration of technology to enhance learning and student engagement.
Assessment at Sahara International School is based on continuous progression tests that monitor students’ development throughout the primary stage. At the end of this stage, students sit for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint test, conducted by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), providing a clear benchmark for their readiness for the next stage: Cambridge Lower Secondary (Years 7–8).
